About Me
Posted on June 4th, 2007 at 2:11 pm by and

Hi bloggers !This is me at my first attempt to blog. I am a very active person, although looking at me you would not think so. I’m a happily single divorced woman. I am a dedicated 9th grade English teacher ,who loves her job. I’ve been and currently am involved in politics. I was elected Municipal Legislator in 1986 and held this position till 2000. In the past I swam long distance for three years beginning at the age of 30.In 1993 I became the second woman to be elected Puerto Rico’s National President to the Junior Chamber. This organization opened doors and challenged me.I have traveled and met fantastic people all over the world.

I have been  blessed with a wonderful  group of lifelong friends. They along with the members of my family fill my life. This makes me a fortunate person.   But by far my biggest passion  is writing. That is how I came to be a member of Borinquen National Writing Project. Writing is very personal, I consider it a window to your soul. This is the message I try to get across to my students. I want them to write because it makes a difference to them and in their lives ,not because they have to ace the my class.I try to remember that I will travel the road of life only  once, therefore I will not be remembered by what title I won or what clothes I wore ,but by my actions and the lives I touched.
